"I really love this foliage photo.
When enlarged, the brook takes your eye along its length into the distance.
All the while, the colors play on both sides.
There is just so much to explore in this image that it's best viewed very enlarged it's a world unto its own!"
Brilliant Bushes
Select:
"These brilliant trees and bushes line an exit ramp along a busy, limited access highway.
I suspect I was breaking at least a few laws as I pulled far off the road and negotiated traffic to get to this thin divider between the exit ramp and the entrance ramp getting on.
As the cars flew past, more than a few had expressions wondering what this fool was doing in the middle of it all."
Big Tree Foliage
Select:
"Sometimes, a scene grabs me and I don't know why.
I stopped to view this scene after a splash of color caught my eye while driving.
It looked rather lackluster until I approached this angle and the texture of the big tree in front of the color pulled it all together."
Candied Reflected Foliage
Select:
"This is another favorite.
The reflection of the colors appear to be hard, colored, candies rather than leaves.
The water is so still and the reflection so convincing, it's almost hard to visually separate the green bush at the lower right that was only a few feet away from me."
Fog Lake
Select:
"On this morning, a thin layer of fog was gently being blown across the lake.
If it wasn't for the bush in the foreground, I'd wonder if this image had been manufactured; I can attest that it's genuine, but nature's good at playing visual tricks and the unlikely can still be real."
